Last year Santa brought me a carbine, this year he brought me an upper. M1S 24" unbelievably heavy 1-8 stainless barrel, ARMS #63 mount and #21 rings, the Millett 4-16x56SF scope off my Savage 12FV (which is getting a Super Sniper on a much better mount shortly, and the other obvious parts. |

I don’t plan ahead… I stage and choreograph spontaneous events.
Nothing to fancy yet. 20inch Oly HBAR .223. Just a cheap scope for now, one I had lying around in the safe, saving my pennies for a supersniper. This still shoots pretty tight groups.

Here's mine. I've only got to shoot it 25 times though as I just got the upper the other day and my scope mounted today. Here's the rundown..... Stag A2 lower Rock River Arms 24" Varmint 1-8" Nikon Buckmaster 6-18x40 Millett Angle-Loc rings   Here was a target from when I was zeroing it and shot the group with the last four shots in the mag. It was 1.197" with Remington UMC 45gr. HP, also with me sitting on a bucket and the forearm on a towel and pool deck rail. I thought it was pretty good considering.

Here is my BM Varminter. I purchased it from AIM when the Varminters first came out 6 or so years ago. It was my first AR. The first picture is how I originally had my scope mounted. I did not like it that far back. I like to put my nose on the charge handle. I bought a YHM extended rail and mounted it like you see in the next few pictures. It may look a little goofy, but it seems to be solid. I know, I need a LaRue SPR-E mount.     |
