Sunny and mild, 70 degrees with a gentle breeze.  I started with the iron sights and ended using the (new) scope. Wolf Match Extra (older, pre-ELEY manufacture) Prone, slung, iron sights  Prone, slung, iron sights  Benched, scoped -  I enjoy the iron sights in a sling, prone more than bench resting the rifle. I find it is more challenging but yields a greater "reward". Every 10 I shoot provides a greater sense of accomplishment. I should practice more. :-) Shooting is fun! P.S. - Not intending to brag here, just very happy after a day of shooting with all the recent "bugs" worked out. |

Used it on my T2K for XTC when NRA HP rules first allowed optics on match rifles. Found it to be heavier than I liked for standing as well as being a large wind sail. Fatigue started messing with my followthrough at the end of a 20 shot string, standing. Switched to a smaller, lighter scope and the NF found it's way onto the AN-1. Figure if I can adjust to the bigger heavier scope in practice with the AN-1, the smaller Leupold would be a breeze for the T2K. Fatigue like the above for standing never was an issue for prone (Long Range use). I shot it in several LR matches, but got sucked into Palma. Between then and the XTC optics rule change, that NF spent a lot of time on a Savage MkII. |

TNC if you ditch the high velocity stuff ( federal high velocity match is just a marketing gimmick no increased quality control to speak of) For something standard velocity ( preferably from Europe) you will see accuracy and consistency improve, often dramatically I know of not a single even semi serious 22 competitor that uses high velocity ammo of any kind |

The groups go to hell at 200 yards, I figure it's because the transonic region is not kind to bullet flight. I am on the lookout for some good, consistent stuff. Given the ammo shortages and the amount of work it takes to qualify a new load, it's a chore. I have some gemtech subs that shoot really well in this gun and my AR .22 upper. I also have some CCI subs that are hilarious: I can watch them fly to the target, they land about 8" below the supersonic groups, and string vertically due to velocity spread. I'd love to have video of them. |

Not sure if I'd call it a precision .22 yet, as it only has 100 rounds through it. Once the barrel was fouled, it started showing some promise. I flubbed the first 10 dots on a 25yd tackdriver target and after I un-fucked my trigger control, it center punched the next 10. Ruger 10/22, KSA 16.5" barrel, KRG chassis, US Optics TS-12x, Walmart bipod. Timney Calvin Elite trigger is due to arrive Monday and I'm looking forward to seeing how it does in the tackdriver challenge. Attached File ETA: But I did join the B14R club about a year ago. B14R lefty, hated the dalmation spot stock so it got a rattle can job. Trigger is a Timney 'The Hit' set at roughly 1 lb. Optic is a Vortex Diamondback Tactical 4-16. I tried it with my Razor 4.5-27 but to be honest, I kinda prefer the Diamondback for .22 work. This one also sports a Wallyworld bipod--but she shoots pretty good. Attached File Attached File |

Finally received my Mask. (almost a year to the day) Attached File Should've done it sooner but just sent the stock off to Manners to have them install an adjustable cheek riser on it. Should be perfect once that is done. Love this rifle. |

After shooting my 223 Ackley bolt gun at our monthly PRS match, I decided to relax and spend some time with my Vudoo single shot on the 200 meter range. I put a new Rodzilla top on my SEB NEO rest and wanted to just get some rounds across it to see how I am going to like it. It tracks absolutely incredible. Vey happy with it so far. Hitting coffee can sized targets at 220 yards was pretty easy. Vudoo SS, right bolt, left port. Shilen Ratchet, 16 twist, MTU contour. Bix and Andy 2 ounce trigger, McM stock, S&B 5-25 scope. I have another stock for it, a Cerrus F-Class wood stock with CF stringers. But it will be a while before the stock doc is done with it. Time will tell which stock I will prefer more. The only other change will be 7/8-24 muzzle threading for a Thunderbeast Ultra 5 suppressor and an ATS tuner. Maybe a Flavio trigger.

I finally got around to buying a Rigid Alloy chassis for my Savage MkII BTVLSS. I am using a DIP products 25 MOA mount, Weaver Tactical medium height rings and a Swampfox Patriot 6-24 scope. The stock is a Luth-AR MBA-4. Now to get it sighted in. The rifle did well in the Rhineland Arms Leopard stock but was very heavy. I'm sure it will do just as good with the Rigid Alloy chassis. Spent some time today with the newly quiet Vudoo single shot for some F-Class practice. I had plenty of time behind this rifle before threading it 3/4x24 and putting on an ATS tuner and Thunderbeast Ultra 7 suppressor. After threading accuracy was unchanged. The addition of the tuner just made good groups better, and the can makes everyone happy. I also put my S&B 12-50 with 1/8 MOA clicks back on. The two targets for the day were a 4 inch diamond at 300 yards and a 5 inch diamond at 410 yards. The 300 yard target was pretty easy if you stayed ahead of the wind. This range has few (none) wind flags inside 300 yards, but hitting 75% was very doable. The 400 yard target was tough as I was shooting it when the breeze started picking up. I was maybe 50% on it. Elevation was pretty solid, the wind got me most of the time.

Yea, that scope is really that big. I've got Arken SH4's on both of my Bergara rimfires, the BMR ships with a 30 MOA picatinny rail so I used Arken 34mm medium 1.26 Halo rings. I used a 20 MOA Leupold MK4 rail on the B-14R and with the full size short action receiver of the B-14R .92 low rings were a perfect fit. My B-14R has a Timney HIT trigger in it as well; Bergara was thinking ahead making the BMR Remington 700 trigger compatible. |

Updates to the T1X - Switched to the KRG Bravo instead of the Oryx Chassis - KRG Spigot mount - Badger LPMH modified Harris BRM-S - Sterk swept bolt knob - Sterk metal bolt shroud (not pictured) - Area 419 30 MOA scope rail The pictured optic is a Steiner P4xi 4-16sx56, but it was only set up for this photo. The closest it will focus is 50 yards, so I typically use it for other things. Normally this is sporting an Athlon Cronus BTR Gen 2
