I'll never understand why the MRGG has a goofy proprietary receiver extension/end plate mount set up, but I wanted to try a folder and a adjustable stock so off I went. The MRGG bolt carrier has a spring loaded buffer inside it so I had to modify the "plug" to fit which was easy enough. Because of the reverse end plate protrusion I had a hack up a standard end plate to fill the gap. Once it was assembled it was a good solid fit. My bad on never stopping to think about the math involved to create the LOP with the A5 extension and the Law folder. The B5 precision stock at is most collapsed ended up being 1.5" longer LOP than my A1 Stock. I swapped on a SOPMOD stock and it's 1/4" longer than my A1 at its most collapsed. That would be cool if all I shot was prone. It was worth a try, but I put my A1 back on. It's what I'm used to and it's a pound and half lighter. If anyone has an MRGG and wants a folder kit for it, let me know.

Its literally the dumbest thing I've ever seen on an otherwise stellar rifle. I mentioned it in their industry forum but it doesn't seem like its a concern. But a sling on a 16" variant, like I have, belongs there. I *hate* stock mounted slings. I don't suppose you snapped a picture of that did you? Also, what did you use to take the geissele "castle" nut off? To be honest, I thought about taking my lower to a machinist and grinding off the nub on the lower, assuming the hole that would be left would be large enough for a standard QD endplate to sink in...and if it wasn't, I'd just put an FCD one in there. |

You just need the extra thickness at the top, the protrusion in the receiver takes care of the bottom. To remove the nut I used a harbor freight spanner wrench that I ground the sides of the bolt flat to fit. Recently I've been using the spanner wrenches that ship with Dead Air suppressors. Filing just a bit off the knub allows it to fit in the notches and it works well too. Whatever you do you'll need a new buffer tube. Nothing will hold notchless geissele tube unless you glue it into the receiver as well.
