I’m disappointed every time I take it to the range. I’ve done all the normal things, retorqued stock screw, switched optics (including rail and mount). Tried all kinds of ammo. 1.4” to 2.0” is the best I can achieve at 100 yards. It might be an ok hunting rifle but not for tiny groups. I should have bought a Tikka T1 or CZ457. Attached File |

I had one in 17 hmr that shot fantastic, the most accurate rim fire ive ever owned. But barrels are unique. You can buy 5 of the same brand and have all of them print different groups. If you know you arent the issue, and you try different loads with the same result. Then its possible it just isnt a performer. Currently struggling to find a 12-12.5 6mm arc barrel im happy with. The ones I have shoot okay. Just trying to get it a tad better. And in order to do that you have to play the barrel lottery. |

Savage 93s are super fun. I put together a couple .25 MOA ten round groups with one. That was a rare windless day, and it doesn't take much of a breeze to push those bullets around. I’m still at it. I mounted up a 5-16 power scope and bought another $75 worth of ammo (mostly 20 grain this time). I’m anxious to give it another chance but all my shooting spots are closed due to the Grasshopper forest fire here in Oregon. If I can’t squeeze 1.5” out of it at 100 yards I’m giving it to my SIL.
