| I noticed something in Geoballistics that's bugging me. I will select my rifle/ammo profile, gather weather data from a nearby airport and begin shooting at plates. I have a lot of MV/Temp table data and have the MV/Temp selected to ON. As the day gets hotter, and I update the Temp, the drops won't change unless I turn the MV/Temp off and then on again. This is really annoying. Shouldn't the drops change automatically as I update the Temp data? It will keep my MV at the lower velocities from the cooler Temp of the morning, no matter how many times I update the weather, unless I remember to turn MV/Temp off and on again. It will also update if I switch rifles profiles, then switch back. Is there a way to make it auto update when I enter a new temp? |

I have no answer for you but you can email them and ask. They are pretty helpful. IIRC they are now owned by Vortex. I was having an issue recording weather data with thier cheap meter. Turns out I was not HOLDING down the record button but rather tapping it. I could have swore it used to be a tap. Duh! If you get an answer please post. |

| I exchanged emails with a cs rep at Vortex. He had me turn off the MV Temp tables and manually change the ambient temp from 60 to 100, verifying that my drops changed (they did). After turning MV Temp back on, it seems to work now. The drops will update as soon as I change the temp reading. I guess something was stuck or something? No idea. Seems food now though! Thank you! |

For clarity, the temp of the powder affects the MV (eg if your ammo is sitting in hot sun vs a cooler full of ice). And for this to be really useful, you need to input the temp when you zeroed. Temp of the air is a factor in the air density which affects ballistics. So there are two ways temp affect drops. I wasn’t sure from your post which one was not working. |

Is there somewhere to enter ammo/powder temp? |
