| This is sort of a multi part question so please bare with me, I have a RRA 20” Varmint, I have kinda turned this into a project with as long as it’s taking me fo completely finish it, I think I know what I want as far as a scope, Vortex Viper 3x15x44(but I am open to suggestions) my real questions are what type of scope mount? I have used Leupold Cantilever style mounts before but I think I want to try something new, and part 2 is concerning a bipod, the upper has no studs so what are my options there? This is a 223 by the way. Thanks for any help |

Which scope will depend on intended use. My squirrel rifle has a vortex 6-24 pst. The power really helps with small targets. General purpose your choice is good. How to mount the bipod depends on the type of rail. If it is mlock then buy a rail section or arca plate. |

Scope choice really depends on the range you plan to shoot at the most. How much magnification is needed for a given distance will vary based on who you ask. Also consider if you want first focal plane vs second, MOA vs mils, reticle selection, etc. As to the mount, I use a cantilever Nightforce mount on my SPR to help with getting proper eye relief. Bipod was answered above. Lots of options for mounting these days depending on what rail system you’re using. |

If the 3-15 is enough scope and youre happy? Dont change it. I do prefer mounts from Warne for my ARs. Price is good, and they are stupidly overbuilt. The question for the bipod can only be answered if you supply more info. Does the handguard have any provisions for mounting either a piece of pic or Arca to it? My best suggestion? Whatever you do, go to an Arca rail style bipod because that is where the industry is headed due to shooting sports like PRS taking off over the last 5 years. |

The RRA 20" Varmint model- does this have the aluminum tube? I came across a set of Uncle Mikes sling swivel studs and I drilled a hole in the tube. This has worked great for my Harris bi-pods. There's a small nut on the inside of the handguard so you don't have to worry about threading the hole you drill in the tube. With the varmint profile barrel, you'll want to be mindful of clearance.
