I received my Black 18" Strat last week, and learning that the DDC are way behind on the wait lists. I bought one of the last two that EuroOptic had in stock. I compete in PRS, and other field style matches, and we have quite a few team and Outlaw matches that are gas gun now. I have several builds that have ultra premium parts, and they're great, but they are temperamental. I decided to just buy something that supposedly will win a gas gun match right out of the box, no drama, no hiccups, no tweaking...nothing. Im glad I did. The new phased gas system makes this the softest recoiling gas gun, I have ever shot, owned, or been issued. It is truly amazing watching a 108gr bullet impact on any target from 75 yards to 1400 yards while suppressed with a Hux 762 Flow. I have only put 100 rounds through it, but it is slightly under MOA for a 10 shot group with factory Hornady 108 Match ammo. They really hit the mark on this one for a precision gas gun. The steel lined receiver channel for the cam pin is a neat idea. The ambi bolt hold open that uses the dust cover to show clear during a match is ingenious. I would like to see that on every AR. This thing is a winner. Here is my oldest son putting it through it's paces.  |
| I looked hard at those rifles sitting in the EuroOptic queue but am still kind of burned that G$$ won't sell uppers. I have great lowers ready to go so I decided to grab a PWS MK118 upper and it is a tack driving piston-driven beast. Perhaps one day G$$ will come off that plan and I can add it to the stable. |
