I have a Bergara B14 Wilderness Ridge. Great rifle, accurate. Potentially interested in converting it though, my love for hinged floor plate has waned recently. Apologies in advance, I'm sure this has been asked/answered but I'm not seeing definitive info in my travels. Are these my only options?

Or drop it in a chassis style that already accepts AICS mags is another option. Is that a long or short action? Also assuming you want to keep it lighter like it is? So you mean rather than cobble together new bottom metal and a stock, buy a whole chassis, right? I'm making sure I have the nomenclature correct. I do like the stock it came with, it's nicer than any I've ever had on a bolt gun but I've only had a few. Looks fine and the texture is just about right IMO for a rifle. |

And I'd be afraid to make mods to a stock on my own I think but I guess I'd have to look into it and see if it's within my capabilities. |

If you consider a chassis, MPA makes a lite chassis, its 2.5 pounds, 3.1 pounds as a folder, it is super comfortable and has all the tricks, including built in Arca rail, adjustable CR and LOP, built in level, and the price is good for how trick they are... worth a look anyway...They also offer all sorts of accessories as far as spigot mount/ bag riders/tunable weight kits/3-5-10 rd AICS mags in short action, plus a bunch of other stuff... https://masterpiecearms.com/shop/mpa-ba-ultra-lite-chassis/ |

These MPA chassis look pretty sweet tho. |

When i got the gun i sort of decided to keep it budget b/c the amount I'll actually shoot it is limited. I don't hunt much these days and most of my training revolves around NODs CQB stuff (mostly b/c that's what is available locally to me). |

I guess I'll think on it some more, gun still shoots great as is just comes down to what i want to put into it money-wise. |

It has a good price and features. It's not overly heavy either so would work if you wanted to carry it hunting. Where do you shoot in NC? |
