I am planning to assemble a rifle will be used just for shooting paper at the range 25-100 yards. My indoor range is 25 yards. Local out door range (30 min drive) has 100 or 300 yd ranges. I just need to narrow down the ring height that will work with the set up. CZ 457 Varmint MTR - waiting for a little better price to become available. Area 419 CZ 457 15 MOA Scope Rail - since I will only be shooting out to 100 yards, don't see the need for the 30 MOA rail Mark 4HD 6-24x52 - already purchased. Mark 4 34mm Medium or HIGH Anyone have this set up and recommendation on Mark 4 ring height? |

I'm in a similar spot you are. Looking to get a MTR and put a 7x35x56mm DNT scope on it with the 15MOA rail. I queried a few threads on Rimfire.com and guys with similar sets ups all went with medium (1.25") height scope rings. the rail brings it up high enough for the ocular bell to clear the barrel by around .25" I'm going with Medium height. |
