I'm about to order some Dewey rods.   I have no idea what length.  Im also buying bore guides.  Either Lucas....if he gets back to me or a sinclair guide.

What length do I need to accommodate a 26 inch barrel and bore guide.

16 inch barrel and bore guide?

Thanks.

Application is 20 inch 308, 16 inch 223, 26 inch 300 win mag.  I have shorter barreled 223 and 308, nbut those will fall under those max lengths given

Went ahead and got 44 for 30 cal and 36 for 22 cal.  Hope that works

44" might be a bit longer than necessary but it depends on the length of the bore guide. You may also end up with longer barrels down the road.

Got a tape measure? Use it. Measure barrel, action and add 2-5 inches more for the bore guide.

I just received my bolt-action. 26" barrel + 1.5" brake + standard length of Rem SA type action + length of Mcmillan A5 stock behind action. Seems like I need a 44" rod. or else the handle will hit the cheek rest, preventing the jag from clearing the muzzle.
