Need some help. Long story Couple of years ago I started down the road of building a couple of bolt action SBRs. I put the projects on hold, and it turned into a couple of years. Fast forward to current times and I am now picking up the projects to finish. One is going to be a 300 blk out Remington 700 build. All the parts were obtained and even loose fit the barrel and action. The second build was going to be built on a savage action. I do not recall if I had decided to do another 300 blk out or do a .223 build. I do not recall buying a barrel for this build as I had not obtained my stamp for the savage action. Tonight, I found a bolt action barrel that I do not recall buying. I do not have any paperwork for it. I know it is a 300 blk out barrel but I do not know if it's for a Remington 700 or a Savage action. I order Remage barrels so even my Remington barrels have barrel nuts. Will a Savage short shank barrel for a model 10 action thread into a Remington 700 action? Without cross threading? |
