Best sources (books?) for Ballistic Science? Perhaps not limited to shooting? I found numerous forensics books but don't care yet. I just want to learn the science behind ballistics, oppose to knowing ballistics and needing help dialing in a specific load to hit 2" lower at 1287 yards. TIA |

Cleckners book is a very informative and an excellent read ( i have read it cover to cover and selected chapters as need arises many times), in addition for more a detailed ballistics treatise see https://thescienceofaccuracy.com/product/applied-ballistics-for-long-range-shooting-4th-edition/ very well written, and dives in to a deeper level of detail for a shooter without overbearing (for some) mathematical analysis. def worth it.
