I’m putting together a new Coyote rifle that will be shot off of bipod and tripod predominately and need to pick a Handguard. My criteria or least amount of poi shift and to have an integrated arca rail. Right now I’m leaving very heavily towards the SOLGW L89arca but they’re all sold out everywhere, my other thought was the Geissele mk18 but I don’t know how stiff they really are being an off shoot of the mk16 and can’t find much said about them in recent years. Does anyone have opinions on these or suggestions in general?

Also in the temporary I have 2 options on the shelf to get the rifle rolling and start hunting with it.
1) kac free float ras mk12 rail
2)Geissele mk8 15ā€ (id have to ad pic or arca rail to it)

Which of these would be the most stable for the time being?

I am really happy with my Geissele Mk18 rails which have a full length ARCA rail.

I like my MK18 as well. I haven't used it in a tripod yet and probably won't get to until spring PRS, but it is significantly stiffer and heavier than the MK16.

ETA: Eurooptic and Rooftop (coupon code) have the best deal on it and all Geissele year round,

Is there any realistic difference in the aluminum vs titanium barrel nut with G vs Solgw? I’ll admit my ocd does like matching manufactures (upper/ lower, barrel, bcg are all solgw) but the europtic price and availability on g18 is tempting.

I always thought titanium was to save weight. Looks like the SOLGW 16.75" rail is the same weight as the 16.5" G MK18. I weighed mine with all hardware and assume SOLGW is listing theirs that way.

SOLGW does have their 13" ARCA in stock and on sale if you are ok with that length. Otherwise, the G is cheaper at EuroOptic. My basically full G build I posted above has a SOLGW SPR 6 ARC barrel

Oh man the 15.25 I could be tempted into but with an 18ā€ barrel 13ā€ of Handguard would be too much open barrel for my taste! How do you like the 6arc barrel?

I was skeptical since it's "cheap" for a precision barrel. I also have this weird deep seated desire to not like things from SOLGW. I think that comes from people hyping them up a ton and them charging premium prices that other true manufacturers charge. However, they seem to spec their parts well and stand behind them. That said. I've got just under 80 rounds through it. I only shoot suppressed, but it is gassed nicely for unsupressed shooting. The first 20 or so rounds through it were an inch to inch and a half. every group since then (except Hornady 80gr) has been sub moa, to include the one 10-shot group I've shot. My most recent 5-round group with 108gr ELD-M was .48" . Not sure I'll be able to repeat that again lol
10-shot Hornady 105gr Black

5-shot Hornady 108gr ELD-M
The left impact was not part of the group. I re-zeroed after installing a Griffin adjustable gas block and removed my MK5HD 3.6-18 and installed a MK4HD 6-24. I walked the zero in. Got it close at like 25 yards. Windage looked close to on so I made 3 single shot elevation adjustments at 100 yards. That was the third shot. I made a windage adjustment, then shot the 5 round group after seeing the first round was right in there.

ETA: Forgot to say...I am happy with the barrel so far! I'm not sure what or if they had done differently by Black Hole than they normally do, but these barrels seem to be shooters at a very reasonable price.

Also, 13-13.5" can look pretty good on 18" if you like the MK12 or Mock12 look.
