| I have been shooting over 1400 yards with bolt action rifles for several years and now I would like to do it with AR10. What rifle do you recommend for start with? What other advice can you give me? |

If this thread goes like similar threads, you will get any/every possible combination of components…so no real help. I’ll start with LaRue. You didn’t specify a caliber or target type. As you will see, there are a lot of ways to get there; this is one…barely. We just had a similar thread which I will see if I can find. |

Even if it didn’t shoot 3/4moa (which it should), you could replace the barrel with a Bartlein and still be at a lower cost than a LaRue. If you build, you can come in much much cheaper. |

Was a bit surprised my PSA PA-65 in 6.5CM was awesome at 1000 yards to 1300 yards: Attached File It came with an STR stock which sits much better on a bag than the stock shown on the PSA Saber. I didn't care for the Geissele trigger mine came with(YMMV) but am loving the LaRue trigger. The gas system does not come from the factory dialed in... the reviewers should have done that. Add a Flat spring and dial the gas system in and the PA-65 is a sweet shooter. My PA-65 came with a stainless barrel. The video suggests that it is possible to get a more accurate rifle than the PSA AR-10, but that its easy enough to get a less accurate rifle as well. 1.5MOA accuracy was enough for me to get a first round hit on a full size silhouette at 1300 yards. The PSA in 6.5CM is a lot of rifle for the money. Guessing +Peak 6.5CM ammo is going to make it even better. |
