Have a Unitah upper for my AR that i want to build a dedicated lower for it. Barrel is mid-weight-ish, 14.5" long, with a pinned Griffin muzzle device to put it over 16". Since the upper is not a super-heavy unit, I kinda want to do a lighter-weight, collapsible stick. Rifle is going to be used out to 100 yards, and I currently have a 2.5-10 x 44 Viper PST Gen 1 mounted. Nothing too crazy for weight or expense at the moment. Was thinking a UBR Gen 2. Colapable, decently rigid, and of a solid build quality. Not a huge fan of the Magpul PRS stock, but the PRS light may be an option. Since the Unitah reciever uses a bolt within the reciever, I dont have to worry about a cheek riser in the way of the typical charging handle of an AR platform. Was also looking at the MDT SCS Skeleton Carbine Stock. Always loved those and always wanted to try one out. Thoughts? |
