Anybody have powder and projectile recommendations for 30-06 rifle for 500 yard target shooting? |

IMR 4350. Close to max load Barnes TTSX 168 or 180 (Depends on which weight the rifle likes ) Fed Gold Match primer Starline or Lapua brass Data |

Pretty much anything you throw in it will bang 2 MOA steel at 500 yards with good dope. If you want to handload some match bullets, just use 175 SMKs. I think Midway has some as seconds right now for fairly cheap. Be warned, if this is a sporter weight hunting rifle, you will develop some bad habits shooting it as a target gun for long strings of fire. |
