Another software tip -- measure the longest calibration distance you can -- i.e. if you have 1" squares on your target, don't just measure one square. Measure 5-8 squares (however many you have visible in the picture) and enter that distance. This will minimize error from the positioning of your start and end points. Also if anyone cares...there appears to be a math error in the bolt gun division on current place holder #40 (jKohntrol_Solutions). The sum of the groups was correctly stated as 3.855", which when divided by 5 is 0.771", and not 0.750" as shown...this would change the MOA value for that entry from 0.717 to 0.736 (and de-conflict a tie that exists at 0.717...prior to my corrected entry above my average was also 0.717MOA...which is why I was looking.)

Went to range to sight in after installing new rings and trigger on my Christensen MPR. Only brought 15 rounds of handloads, but decided to round it out with Hornady ELD Match factory ammo. I'm pretty happy with it considering its a hunting gun weighing under 10 pounds including optic.
Attached File Attached File Attached File Bolt Division at 100 yards; Lennyo3034: Christensen MPR 6.5CM, Huber trigger, Bushnell LRHS Groups: .513",.829", .351", .539", .374"= .521" average = .498 MOA. Would have been well under half if weren't for the shot in the top right group. I called a good shot on that one so I don't know what happened there. |

Nice shooting Defender!
May need to rescore that target though. Your ontarget software is measuring for 100m but you said you shot at 100yds. Won’t affect much, but when you’ve got a top 15 submission it probably needs to be as precise as the weapon you used to get it! |
