Anyone figure out what devices and OS work best with the Labradar app? Are earlier devices and OS more reliable than more recently released products? Seems to be that way with the SD cards.
I'm thinking of just dedicating a device to the LR so it doesn't get influenced by OS updates on the iPhone. I haven't tried to connect any device yet since the LR is wrapped and sitting under the tree. |

Took the LR out for the first time today and it worked without a hiccup. 100 yds with 223 and it never missed a reading. Fired and recorded about 100 rounds. Never going back to a standard chronograph after this! I wasn't too impressed by the app. Seemed easier to just use the buttons on the LR to control the unit. Arm/disarm without reaching forward seemed about all it's good for. Had to exit and reenter the app to reconnect bluetooth between shooting periods. Once it connects, that screen is not available until the app is shut down and reopened. I hope they upgrade the app sometime soon and incorporate some more screens. If a ballistic calculator was integrated, that would be even better. |

I'm really liking my LR. It's so easy to use I almost have more chrono data than I know what to do with. A couple things I figured out with mine.
Use standard SD cards. My LR would get slow or weird with newer HC or XC cards. The app is ok but I found out it is easier to use the controls on the LR while shooting. After shooting I'll open the app on my phone and let the LR do a data transfer to the phone. Then later, at home or wherever, I can open the app and review/record my data. |

Sensitivity setting generally works at the normal mid range, but one issue with the external mic is gusts of wind above ~15mph will cause the LR to trigger and give the 'projectile not seen' warning which requires a reset. |
