Im looking to set up some game cameras around the cabin. I have starlink and wifi. Id like to find a camera that will function as a typical game camera. Take pics, videos based on motion and would allow me to view them remotely. It seems like most cameras will allow you to connect to them via wifi but they are not connected TO wifi. I appreciate if someone can point me in the right direction. Thanks! |

How about Reolink WIFI solar cameras? https://m.reolink.com/product/argus-pt-ultra/ Reolink has good sales on EBay so almost all of my Reolink cameras came from there. The above camera you can pan, tilt, and zoom (the zoom is so so) and will record video on motion. All done remotely from your phone. You can download the video files to your phone if you want to save one (or more) of them. It’ll record for a set amount of time after seeing motion. The data is stored on a SD card in the camera and it overwrites as it fills up. Depending on how many events trigger it, it should last 2 weeks to many months. Depends on how sensitive you keep the settings. You can get cellular trail/game cameras but have to pay for cell data. I’m not aware of any WiFi only game cameras….meaning WiFi cameras that connect to your WiFi and allow remote monitoring. From what I found when I was looking was the WiFi trail cameras allow you to connect via WiFi when you want to look at the pics but don’t allow WiFi remote monitoring. And you have to be within WiFi range to view the pics. |

| Another comment on the Reolink cameras….they are extremely easy to find, snip the part you want, download, save to your phone, and then you can use usual methods to send the video to whoever you want to send it to. You can download lower resolution video or high resolution video….whichever you want. |
