I’m looking to buy a handful of xl beaver pelts. Can someone point me in the direction of a reputable seller? Thanks in advance.

I just searched for ones here in Alaska and came up with a few.

Wife had had good luck with other furs/hides on etsy..

Just do your research.

That was a parody thread but the beaver is still in my freezer.

Tanning a beaver hide is a DIY kind of job if you can dispatch them on your own, otherwise a quick search might lead you to find a finished product under $50

I know several fur buyers and sellers around here in Nebraska. If you want their contact info, just let me know.

Skinning, fleshing and stretching one takes hours.  You cut every fucking inch off, nothing pulls.

How do you want them?
Green, fleshed, dried, tanned?

Where are you located?

Contact state trapping org and get local contacts unless you want them tanned. Even then, you may be ahead to buy local/ dried then have tanned yourself. Again, can recommend tannery, but general locale would help.

Fur prices are LOW,  do you may fing willing sellers.

Haven't had much luck DIY tanning larger beaver.
Small ones come out OK.

Getting ready to get after them myself soon.

Around these parts you can practically pick them up off the side of the road. No hardware involved, and in varying conditions.

This one was really pretty, and you can't beat fresh roadkill for practice.

Just be wary, there are a lot of similarities between a gut shot deer and a roadkill beaver. Both equally repulsive I got lucky last night, the gut sack wasn't ruptured. The night before though....hoo boy....
