I've got a Kubota L3560. Been using it for clearing land and mowing the past few years. But I've got enough of the land cleared now that I'm ready to try smoothing it out to make mowing faster and more pleasant. There's some ruts. So I've got a discer I bought used for practically nothing. But... I'm now faced with the prospect of switching back and forth. I would like to use it for some shallow tilling to plant a feed crop for the dove. I've taken the shredder off and on a few times and its kind of a pain in the ass. What's a good option for quick hitch type solutions? My tractor is cat 1. eta: Looks like my options are really more Quick-hitch where everything (except PTO shaft if required) is handled vs something like Pat's lift arm adapters where I'd still have to disconnect and reconnect the top link. |

Heavy Hitch. I have the dual weight bracket model for my JD 2032R and it was the first upgrade I did along with a Piranha tooth bar. This model is great because it allows for very versatile placement of both the smaller and larger style suitcase weights. For example, you can hang weights off of the inside/front bracket only and leave the rear clear for whatever quick hitch attachments you might be using. The rear bracket is still there just in case extra weights are needed at some point. On my 2032R, just having the extra weight of the Heavy Hitch itself and 8 of the smaller 42 lbs JD suitcase weights hanging off of the inside bracket is enough to keep the rear wheels from lifting with the heaviest bucket loads. When using my forklift attachment and lifting heavy pallets, the FEL will hit max weight capacity and quit lifting before the wheels lift (on flat ground anyway). Without the Heavy Hitch and 8 weights, the rear was always lifting on me and it was less stable overall. I don't have my tires filled with water or beet juice...no plans to do so for now as I have to balance the need for rear ballast weight with not tearing up my nice lawn too badly with deeper ruts caused by extra weight... ETA: Dang. Price on the dual bracket model went up over $100 since this time last year! Sucks, but still worth it IMHO! |

Not really what I'm looking for, since I'd still have the same issues hooking up left and right lift arms to those pins and be not much different than where I am now. But I do like the square receiver tube there. Right now, when I want to move a trailer or something, I take the forks off my forklift attachment and use the square tube on the mast for that. |

I have too many implements for a typical quick hitch. Plus a mixture of Cat 1 and 2. Seriously thinking about Pat’s for one of my tractors. OP, if you’re thinking doves, you have to have some way to keep the rows clean. Doves like it really clean. |

I use the Pats quick hitch because my collection of implements are of varying width and sizes. The fixed hitch would not allow me to adjust the width.Attached File |

I really only want to do like a 50yd by 50 yd square (approx half an acre). Just something to bring them in a little more consistently for dove season. I've got a 600 gallon tank in a 105 trailer I've rigged up for mobile irrigation so I can nurse it through drought if I need to. |

Pulled the trigger on Pat's. Went ahead and ordered a PTO-Link, too. I'm lazy and messing with the PTO drive shaft is currently a PITA. |

I almost went with Pat’s but then saw SpeeCo and the Good Works clone. I went with the Good Works. I only have a box blade, a rake and a 5’ Tiller. I ordered it Monday or Tuesday, It should be here Monday I think. I frankly got sick of trying to line up on unlevel ground and have to pry or lift to shove a pin in. The rake is easy, the box blade is heavy and the tiller is heavy and awkward. I was real close to going with the Pat’s. One thing I like with the Pat’s is that there is no slop on the top link that you likely will get with the top hook of a quick hitch. Either way the tiller now has four more inches to cover with my already cut PTO shaft. I will pick up an extension if I don’t have at least 1/3 of the shaft length overlapping. With the hitch I can switch back and forth easily between the rake and the box blade when doing the driveway gravel. I like finishing with the rake. Edit…….why I mentioned the SpeeCo and the Good Works Specifically is that they don’t need bushings on the implement s to make cat 2 size pins out of them to fit. Nearly all those quick hitches are cut for cat 2. The two quick hitch brands that I mentioned are cut for cat 1 pins so no $50 of bushings per implement needed. I hope I don’t end up hating the thing. |
The only hyphenated names I like are cartridge names......30-06, 30-40, 38-55 etc.

I wonder if there's something like blue iris with AI image recognition that could send notifications on recognition of deer or hogs? |

I just put it on and went out and hooked up the Woods Box Blade for my winter counterweight. It’s about 15 degrees Fahrenheit and it’s nice to have it hooked up in about 15 seconds and headed right back in to the heated shop! If I was pinning it on I’d still be out there trying to get things aligned and the pins in. I did rip up a bunch of sod when I lifted it off the ground, I use the center scarifier as a kickstand when I dismount it. It was frozen down. lol. I didn’t remove that until I was back in the heated garage.  I got a decent sale price on it for the BlackFriday. $249 with all the pins including one for the top link. Sure it’s a lot more than the HF one but no bushings to buy and the fit seems perfect. I was worried that there would be a bit of slop in the top hook, it’s spot on. |

There's a roll pin that links the steel "ear" that swings out to lock in each of the lower sides. I had one wiggle loose and disappear, it shut me down for the day. Might want to keep an eye on them. They're 1/2"x2" and the ones I got on Amazon are a tighter fit. |
