| Got a couple Hog Commander traps to try since I had a couple hogs show up the other night beside the house. Worried about getting a deer on one due to the heavy amount of deer that come through. Know placement is key to avoiding unintended animals caught. Just know my luck, and not sure how to handle the situation if I ended up with one with a steel cable wrapped around its leg. Rifle season ends this weekend for deer so the easy way would be out of the equation. Not sure if trying to wrestle a deer is the best idea to remove the cable from their leg. |

Probably not a good plan to put out snares if you’ve got a lot of deer in the same area. You’re going to eventually snag one and either have to kill it or watch it slowly die as it thrashes itself to death because if you try releasing one that hasn’t completely messed itself up, you’re going to be on the hurting end too. |
