Sporks are just a no-go for me. They are nearly useless as a fork, and my pots scald way too easily when I cook with them. The slightly broader contact surface of a spoon makes a huge difference in keeping scalding at the bottom of the pot under control when stirring. Front country - no reason not to have proper spoons, forks and knives. Backcountry - I just bring a single spoon; |

They are an item to put in the “whatever weird situation” gear in my vehicles, and I just like neat gear things ideas to check out and try. I also like that it’s all 3 utensils and another redundant ferro rod that could be used for anything from a roadside meal stop to an overnight motel stay. My for real for real utensils are a whole different thread subject. |

It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. Fortunately, I had the stainless one like what's in the middle, and I think it worked out better than some of the other designs.  |
