| I picked a couple of these up on discount from Walmart. Anyone have one or know if they’re any good? This would be my first non-card type camera. Not big on paying $8 a month, but I’m cheap. |

I've never used that particular one, but they probably still need SD cards. Some of them even require special SD cards. I think there are some cameras out there that can work card less, but most of what I've seen still use them. My opinion on cell cameras is when you need them, they are phenomenal. For example, baiting bears hundreds of miles from where you live. Now I know how much, if any, bait I need to carry out to each site. In the world of deer hunting they can allow you to observe a spot you are trying to reduce pressure in. If you are regularly going in there, or it's an open/ag type area anyway, cell cameras are mostly a waste of money. Cool to have for sure, but not really a benefit, when for the same money you could have put out 3 or 4 regular cameras. |
