A farm close to my house just cut part of their corn field yesterday, so I decided to run down and try calling. I parked on the road next to the field and get my gun set up and walk into the corner of the field. Before I even put my call out, I look and see 2 about 250 yards out looking for mice. I quickly put my call out and start with a few mouse squeaks. You can see them instantly perk up and look my direction. they then both start my direction. They stop about 125 out and I shoot the first. He drops and the other takes off. I should have taken my time on the first 3 follow ups, but rushed them. The one I hit, gets up and ran about 50 yards and then went down for good. The other made it to the standing corn, and stopped after entering. I took one more shot and dropped him.
