Went out last weekend to a field that is normally cut this time of year but was still waist high. I could hear a few coyotes barking in the grass, but nothing came into view. While I was watching though, I see this bird flying along and suddenly turn and dive towards something. I don't know if he dove towards a sound, because I don't know how he could have seen anything on a moonless night. I have had birds several times checking out my call. It's kind of fun to watch them. I am always nervous they are going to fly away with my decoy spinner.  Bird hunting |
