But pretty dang similar for the most part. I really want something larger more touring geared. But this thing is great. 70+ mpg, simple mechanics, it'll do 65-70 on the highway, and it was cheap. |

He also doesn't have a torque converter to absorb any of the shock loading. All of that said, if I were building that hybrid creation, a pair of GM 14-bolts with a disc conversion would be my pick. I guess I feel I have enough to show now... This is my BOV... Nope not 4WD, no lockers. But I pretty much know to stay of those area where I will need those things... I will be looking to trade out to a 2500 series burban in the future though. Now that I have a better idea of what I am in need of when it comes to BOV... Playing with my toys Waiting for buddy to take aerial image Yeah, wasnt as good as I had hoped. But I know what to fix next time. Just to show that it does change color with the light... I have not got a good image of the effect yet... Ehhh, I think its cause I new where it was and what it was.... First pic I took of the truck with the sun against it... Roof was done to, just cant get luggage racks back on yet... I painted it cause the old paint was coming off and I wanted to have fun with it... Yeah, two years worth of fun... Least I know how to do it now....  |

I like it. Body lift? Put a solid axle up front and swap in a 4wd trans with a manual transfer case in that rig.

I'll play.
This isn't a dedicated BOV, but it's what I would use until I buy something dedicated for the task. 2013 F-150 FX4 SuperCrew, 33" tires, slight lift, steel aftermarket full skidplates underneath, Leer cap with built-in gunsafe in the roof (comes in handy on a day-to-day basis). Also some gratuitous pictures of some friends that go shoot with me in nearby BLM land.

I'm not going to put any major money in to it, because I'm going to change out to a 2500 series diesel suburban at some point... That ill put a lot of money into Im sure... That Hoe is just a stepping stone for now... Ive had her for a while, and has done me fine, she runs great and has no major issues... Just wanting a Suburban now... The hoe just aint able to fit what I want, and I need a burban to haul my new 1 ton frame trailer. Not that the hoe cant tow it, but the wheels on the hoe wont fit the 1 ton trailer. |

Water fording kit, lockers in all axles, 49 inch Goodyear run flat tires, 100gal transfer tank, air compressors on board and in back, generator, 4 batteries, pick up crane on back, IR lights all around, LED lights all around, 24 and 12 volt internal plugs, spare tires, split drop side 14x8 ft bed, haul 5 ton off road (10 on road), tow 30,000 lbs, can go totally blacked out with night vision
soon a 20,000 lb winch which I have but have to put on and eventually up armored cab, fuel tank and motor compartment
