Went to one of my better farms tonight after the farmer called me and said he had just mowed a big field of CRP grass. As soon as I get there, I see one hunting mice about 300 yards out. The only problem was the farmers cabin was right behind him. It is unoccupied, but I still didn't want to risk the shot. Before this video starts, I spent about 5 minutes sneaking down a road to change the angle of the shot. After I get to the point he is clear of the cabin, he either winds or sees me and takes off. I try a few mice squeaks to see if I can get him to come back, with no luck. Fortunately though, another one in an adjacent field came in. At first he too was in front of a building. I called for a minute or two trying to bring him closer, but he stayed out about 250. So I took the shot from there. Big male.  Coyote 2-26-26 Attached File Attached File |
