I've either been extremely lucky with my spraying or paid attention enough to do a decent job. My driveway is old and grass/weeds grow through it. I spray it with the year long vegetation killer, which really only lasts about 2 months, and never once turned the lawn grass yellow. The church behind my house did some landscaping and it looks like they sprayed something to kill all the weeds in the back corner of their lot. Now a 12ft tall green arborvitae that the neighbor has been growing for about 15 years is turning all brown and the one next to it is has patches of brown. The neighbor grew them for privacy from the church. I bet he is pissed. |

I actually fired a church as a client because they hired me to treat stuff, but they also let their members come out and spray if they wanted to. Untrained people waving chemicals around. Guess who would be held responsible if THEIR spray hurt something it shouldn't? Nope. I suspect you are just paying attention. You probably read the label. You probably understand droplet size and how to get bigger droplets with a different nozzle or by adjusting pressure. In short, you're a smart guy and you take the time to do a job with care. By the way, getting dead beside the sidewalk is EXTREMELY common and even pros do it sometimes. A lot of the times a rain comes, washes the residue off of the walk and onto the vegetation at the sides of the walk. That's very difficult to avoid. If you want to not have to spray as often, mix glyphosate in your sprayer with SureGuard (be prepared for sticker shock) and you'll get about six months of weed prevention on your hardscaped areas and driveway. The glyphosate is taking out the existing vegetation. The SureGuard is a pre-emergent. Very safe and effective. It costs a lot for a small bottle but you use very, very little. If you want the mix rate holler and I'll get it for you. |

This is how my line of tomato is looking and doing in a good garden bed. The tomato cage is one of the 54" tall ones. The tomatoes at the top are ping pong ball sized. |

My few tomatoes that were out of the line of herbicide drift I trim daily so if that's blight it'll spread less quickly maybe.

| It is blight. When I stay on top of things the first sign of yellow spots I usually cut the leaves off and dispose of them elsewhere. I've just these go after getting the wood chips around them. |

I have done some updates on the solar system and haven't posted about that yet. I have 10 more panels to swap out and then I can do that update. A local company was selling used panels at too cheap of a price to pass up. They are 310 watt panel for $45 and my existing panels were 280 watt. Just a slight upgrade but I plan on expanding the system and doubling the number of panels. Several large trees have died or fallen that need cleaned up. Yard work and improvements is basically a full time job. I have too many projects going on and the inside of the house is towards the back of the list. |

I've been grabbing some of the rocks from the sewer project. They will be used for something on the property, I just needed to grab them before they got buried. The little pile in the picture above has grown. I toss cat food out on them and all sorts of animals come in visit. At least 5 raccoons, 3 possums, and 4 foxes.  |
