| One small tip for fellow data hoarders is to get a program called Duplicate File Finder free edition and use it to scan the drive you download to. Many of these sites have stuff they found of other sites so you may find you have the same how to do ______ .pdf in 14 diffrent folders and that can add up to 100's of gigs of dupes. |

| Someone recently asked me for an update to my collection of survival PDFs, which I've only worked on in the winter months as a time killer. So today I was googling and surfing the net seeing what stuff people have posted over the last year or so. It's amazing how little new material is being posted and how few links are coming up on Google searches. |

| Keep in mind that there have been some successful lawsuits lately against some of the compilation sites where more modern copyrighted books were being shared. An author friend of mine had around 30 titles identified at one such site and it sounds like their part of the settlement will be well into five figures for royalties. I've noticed recently while casually surfing some of those sites that they're just gone from the web or seem to be zombie sites that haven't added any new books to their collection in years. |
