My son and I usually just meet up at the local fishing hole, but if we are going to go any kind of distance we just ride together and take my rusty old fishing beater Jeep Liberty. Well when you start stacking 2 peoples rods in there they get to be a mess in a hurry, so I wanted to come up with a solution. I wanted to just tuck them up in the roof line, but it tapers so much up there that anything over 5'6" would not fit so I needed to get the rods down where there was more room. This was my solution. We have room for 12 rods in there and plenty of room left over for the rest of our gear. In a pinch there is still room in there for both our golf bags, or pleny of guns for the range.
