Good afternoon SF. The hand pump on my dad's farm has stopped working. He has mentioned that he wants to replace the hand pump to have a backup source of water, but he has not gotten around to it. His pump is not repairable in the condition it is in. The pump sits on a concrete slab with a hole drilled through it. The pump is basically a tube, approx 2" diameter (I will try to get an exact number) with a decorative clamp on the outside to keep the pump at the right level above the slab. There is a removable section of concrete so the pump can be taken out from the side al well. I would like to get him a replacement for fathers day, so I can help him install it when I am home on the 4th of July. Priorities: 0. Needs to be available by fathers day, so long lead items may not be the best. 1. He and I need to be able to install the pump. 2. He prefers the pump to be antique-looking. 3. Come with a pickup kit, or if not, provide a recommendation on where to get one. 4. Any antique color, such as dark red, dark green, or black. 5. Repair kits/ parts available. I would like to keep the price under $500 all said and done. Thanks for your time! |

Soil type and water table depth will play a critical role in determining the proper hand well pump. edit: if the water table is more than 20' below the surface, you will be likely tripling your $500 budget all-in. Lehman's would be where I would start. https://www.lehmans.com/category/water-pumps |
