Poison Oak question

Years ago I used a knife to chop off some poison oak, didn't clean it right away and stuck it back in the sheath. The question is will the sheath have residual contamination in it even if I have cleaned the blade multiple times since then? The sheath is leather so I can't wash it with dishes.

The oil dries. I wouldn't worry about it.

IIRC it takes seversl weeks to dry out and become intert
