Hey guys just got a used alaknak 12x12 off ebay and its pretty dirty so I was going to wash it with Nikwax techwash in a kiddie pool and re-waterproof it with the above mentioned. the problem I'm having is the waterproofer says it should be diluted and sprayed on not washed in. I'm kinda wondering if maybe i can just add some to water in the pool and soak the tent in it?(not with the techwash of course) its just a big tent for a spray bottle and will be hard to get the top if its set up but if its just spread out on the ground i might miss a spot. any ideas or suggestions are greatly appreciated thanks! |

Ive used the techwash several times, but I bought it paired with their wash in waterproofing. I do it all in my bath tub (although the kiddie pool is a good idea). It's pretty simple since you dont have to dry between washing and then applying the waterproofing.The spray kind I think would be more suitable for jackets or boots. |
