I’m getting a Stryker Pro420 inflatable and decided on a Tohatsu 30hp outboard. Should I pony up the electric start or stick with the pull start? I’ll probably leave the boat set up most of the summer and deflate it in the winter and put the outboard on a stand. |

An electric start requires a battery. Is there a place in the inflatable for it? Also, keep in mind the boat is designed for a jet drive and has a 21' transom. Most small outboards are built with a 15" transom in mind. If you go electric, might want to look at a trim and tilt package on the motor too. |

I’ve talked to the company and they said the boat works great with a long shaft outboard. I don’t plan on running shallow rivers. There’s no dedicated place for the battery. I would just put it in a battery box and strap it where I see fit. |
