Hey guys,
This weekend I finally took a stab at building an EmComm Box. Thanks to @Jupiter7200 for the help and inspiration. Let me know what you think..... I started with a shallow 19" Rack

For those of you doing possibly rough work, there are similar, slightly larger rack mount boxes in which the rack is

Rear panel - negligible weight for the much added convenience. I'd do it. It will also give me the opportunity to put in a small panel mounted fan with a manual on/off switch. I'm going to run it a bit first to see what the thermal loading of the box is first though. |

Looks nice, and a 38lbs its not nearly as bad as it looks weight wise. Seeing that you use a powerex 8 pole distribution setup. I'm thinking of using one for a project, are those pre-wired for one input/output, or do you have to wire them up yourself? And could you take a pic of it if its possible? |

It's also nice being able to see the controls on the equipment, what with so few rigs having backlit knobs and buttons -
Fortunately, in this era of ricers and brodozers, we have a bazillion different styles of inexpensive LED sticks, adhesive-backed strips and "accent" lights to choose from...
