I know this is an old post, but here goes.
Maple Lake is a waste of time imo. It's heavily over-fished, and all you're likely to catch now is bullhead, carp and possibly hepatitis from hypodermic needles strewn about by the druggies. Try Tampier or even Desplaines river. They're catching northern, large and smallmouth, walleye and nearly everything else in Desplaines. Just locate a remote spot where they're not elbow to elbow |
