| Anyone have experience with this and can help me out? I'm trying to decide if I should go with a 50ah or 100ah for my boat. I really only use it on small lakes, typically from 2-15ac. The boat is a 1648 sea ark aluminum boat with a 45lb bow mount trolling motor. Also have a Humminbird helix 7 graph and a micro anchor shallow water anchor on it. The cost difference of the batteries isn't what I'm worried about but mainly the size/weight difference. |

you can go to the Humminbird siteto find out ,They have a calculator on there. I'd run a 100ah personally since you are running a TM off it.The Helix wont have a significant draw. I'm running a pair of Helix 10" a Forward facing sonar and side imaging all networked to my Ultrex and that battery also powers my live well pumps.It will last well through a 12hr day of fishing if I can LOL |

The BMS is more important than anything. Make sure the rated output amperage of the BMS inside the battery is higher than the max draw of the trolling motor. Cheap Amazon lithium batteries tend to cheapen out on the BMS. I found out the hard way. |
