Not sure if it is worth pursuing but is/are there source[s] to get other brands of filters and fluids? Will doing so result in any meaningful savings? I'm thinking air/hydro/oil filters and hydro fluids, coolant and oil? thanks maybe my question is penny wise and pound foolish? |

Kubota doesn’t make any filters. So, just pick a quality brand and cross reference the Kubota filter. I tend to use Wix for most things including my Kubota tractor. I buy them from Rock Auto in bulk. There are other good brands as well so don’t hesitate to look at other brands. For fluids, again, Kubota doesn’t make their own fluids so pick a quality brand of the right weight and spec your equipment calls for and use that. |

| When my machine was under warranty I used Kubota parts and kept the receipts. If there was an issue, I didn't want to give Kubota any reasons to deny a claim. Now that it's out of warranty I use Wix filters just like I do in my cars. I generally use Rotella oil in diesels, and I get hydraulic fluid from Tractor Supply. Coolant is nothing special, so whatever you can get locally. |

Personally I don’t even like to mix brands although the main thing to be concerned with is never to mix types. I use Final Charge in most of my vehicles and my Kubota tractor. Gotta do an oil cooler replacement this week on my Jeep 3.6 and it’ll get Final Charge. |

Kendall Hyken 052 Plus / PowerTran XP holds the Kubota Super UDT 2 specification, assuming it calls for Super UDT2. If it only calls for UDT, then that is a regular J20C tractor hydraulic fluid. Which would be a major brand’s tractor hydraulic fluid. Avoid cheap tractor supply product. Or a thing that is J20A spec. Diesel engine oil is diesel engine oil. Pick your favorite brand. Chevron is my favorite that’s easily available. There’s zero reason to stay with Kubota OEM product. As even Kubota OEM may be changing here sooner or later. |

| Usually I buy the first ones at the dealer. Keep the packaging part # stapled inside the service manual. Cross reference next time for the brand of my choice. As mentioned, you can skip ahead and cross reference directly, but this way I won't make a mistake when looking up something. |
