I have 42 acres with quite a few trails. Most of them are decent enough. With the price of side-by-side, I’m thinking about buying one of these mini trucks. There are plenty of them are here in my area that I can pick up for five or six grand already with a lift kit and my tires I wanted to see if any of you owned one and how it’s worked out? I figured parts wouldn’t be that hard to get since you can order from Amazon Japan that said I figure if I take care of it and just use it as a little farm vehicle, I probably wouldn’t have much problem anyway if they are typical Japanese build quality . I’m getting pretty serious about picking one up soon and just wanted some feedback. |

They are pretty awesome I see them on the road here occasionally, small little 600cc engines, really not fast or safe enough for anything over residential or a short trip on a 45mph road. You are the crumple zone. Mostly I see them On large business / school campus for the maintenance crews which they excel at. I don’t think they will handle extreme trail stuff really well, but a 4wd version should handle property work no problem |

Love mine. Suzuki Carry. We drive it on the ranch multiple times a day. Heat, A/C, windshield wipers, good lights (with hi beams), and a good sized bed. Light enough that 2 people can push it out of many obstacles. Only issue with mine is the solenoid for the 4x4. It went out, and I have not gotten that fixed. But, not really an issue for my application. The other possible issue is the tires in front can rub on tight turns on uneven ground. Not really a major issue. These things were not designed for big off road tires, and it just makes an irritating noise when it happens. But, very capable vehicle. The bed is just so much more useful for me than most all UTV's. I have a 40 gallon sprayer on a pallet in the back most of the year, and still have room for hauling feed, tools, and supplies. |
| I know some guys that did vegetation clearing for a utility and they used a mini truck as their labor and equipment hauler. They took it into some nasty terrain and they were very big proponents. |

They are nice I’ve ran a lifted one with good tires a bunch but a sxs will have much better ground clearance and performance in mud. As long as you have good trails it shouldn’t be an issue but I have high centered in mud and snow before. I like them because they are much quieter than the side by sides. They are light but I needed an assist on this one. Attached File |

Everything I've seen around here in decent shape was 8-10k Anything I've seen anyone pick up cheap was pretty clapped out and needed a bunch of work before use. You can pick up an older S-10 or Ranger for pennies on the dollar compared to the mini trucks in this area. |

In my AO they are few and faaaar between. I actually stopped to looked a Dakota for sale to find out last week only to find that it was way rougher than it looked from the road, it had 220K on the clock and the engine was seized. |
