| I'm just discovering JS8 call and am attempting to connect my Ten Tec Omni VII to JS8 call via my panasonic laptop. I'm getting an invalid audio input device error. Any suggestions for me on how to correct this error? |

| I just realized that the Ten Tec Omni VII does not have an internal sound card for JS8Call. You will need an external digital interface to use this mode with your radio. |

I have both a Signalink on my base station and a digirig for my FT 857. they both work great. the Signalink has some controls on it, while the digirig does not. One thing if your using Windows, Windows likes to readjust the speaker settings once in a while. Win 10 is the best for digital modes i've found out, I do have a Win11 laptop and it hasn't had too many issues. Like they say, You'll spend 2 weeks making your first contact on JS8 or FT8, and 20 seconds to make your second contact. |
