Not sure how I feel about the form factor and touchscreen... but it does allow audio messages and images now which can come in handy. Maybe it'll also work with rattlegram / assempix and shredpix. Current I use a pair or motorola defy satellite messengers because it's inexpensive and fast, but it doesn't have coverage over as large an area and it isn't stand alone. I’m glad Garmin isn’t giving up with cell phones now starting to hit satellites. My original mini just died this year and the 3 will probably be its replacement. Never had any gripes other than the micro screen, but it was always tethered to the phone anyway. The new screen is nice but it’ll be used tethered too. Think I got 7 years out of the mini 1. |
