That’s a nice cow. Pretty big prairie dog gun, but I guess you gotta dance with who you bring. My bud has been up in the Uncomphgre with some other guys. They had a good season too, all cow tags filled. They had some nasty pack outs tho. Attached File |

Lots of years I would get 2 hunts, Archery + rifle cow. Last couple years, my wife’s health has gone to hell so I mostly live vicariously through watching others hunts. We have pretty good hunting within a couple hours too. Lemme see if these will load properly, not sideways. This is a guy I hunted with and he is also a huge elk fan. We are both mid 60s, he is in the sideway pic too, helping his friend pack.. Here, he is helping another guy who drew a unit 62 muzzle tag last year. Brutal pack. Huge elk. Thread resurrection time. Put in again this year and was drawn again. Middle of November I will be out looking for another easy elk. Will also be going after prairie dogs and maybe trout when not hunting. Can't wait! |
