How do you prepare these?
My buddy informed me that these are edible and I have a bunch in my woods.
So maybe next year I'll harvest some and eat them.
Just don't know what to do with them...

Put them in a pillow case and dry on air dry for a few minutes.

Boil for about 15 minutes or so.
Drain water.

Can use them in darn near everything.

Best is to look at your states wild edible plants.
Also on other ways to prepare them.

Do NOT eat when they have unfurled.

We had a bounty harvest this year.

My wife has vacuum sealed the surplus and we'll see if they keep in the freezer.

They keep pretty good in freezer.

Wife boils them
squeezes out the water
then puts them in quart bags.
Will last two yrs at least.
