Anyone have a Honda EM7000IS. This is the older EU7000IS, I think. Generator had 6 hours when I got it. Stored in climate controlled warehouse at 70 since new. I checked the oil, pulled twice and it started. Replaced battery already. Have oil and spare plugs now. I have 2- EU3000IS, 1- Predator 2000, 1- Firman 4000, 1-Champion 3500, 1- Sportsman 1000 inverter generators. Was not looking for another, but could not resist. Anyone have / had one? Looking for extended run kit, or anyone who made one work. Looking for a large wheel kit for rolling around back yard. Could always use a gorilla cart if no other options. Would be nice to throw on NG and not use gasoline. I have a couple window units and two portable AC for cooling, gas heat, water heating and cooking. My central unit is 5-ton, so I use portable/windows for AC. Thanks for any information. |

I have a EU7000IS, which is a bit different because of being fuel injected instead of a carb. I bought a propane kit but it's so complicated I never installed it. You'll be better off in that regard. The only real suggestion I have is to dump the SLA starting battery for a lithium one (Noco, etc.) The batteries on my EU7000IS died with such regularity I was to the point I stocked two spares at all times, and once I went lithium that problem went away entirely. |
