Arrived at my mom's place for Thanksgiving Friday and went straight to work that evening.

Called in a triple.  WooHoo!!

Shot two of 'em at 80ish yards then dropped the hammer on an empty chamber at the third, realizing I'd forgot to load the gun and had only those two bullets on me.  D'OH!

The third was confused, sniffing number two, entered the woods, and worked up to about 35 yards away in the edge of the woodline. Disappeared and reappeared, then started working his way out towards the middle of the field and back into the woods. Couldn't believe he hadn't bolted from smelling me, or seen me, although he may have been a little blinded from the yard light 150ish yards away.

Outta ammo and just watching a coyote.

"Hmm, if he's gonna' hang around then maybe I can go grab some more ammo."  Got up, through the fence, trotted up to my ride, opened the lit trunk, dug out some ammo, trotted back to the stand while trying to stay in the shadows, through the fence, got on the gun, loaded the mag, racked a round, and hit a fight call.

About five seconds later, here he comes again. Safety was still on the first time he stopped but finally,  BAM!.

Three of three coyotes down.

Daylight view.
Blue dot - me, hiding in shadow of that tree.
Red - they came out in that bottom corner.
Green - caller on the corner of that old trailer.

Damn, Good shoot.

I will probably be doing the same thing when I get home Tuesday night. Sammich maker says she hears them getting closer and closer to the house.

Some coyotes are just meant to be. The third one seemed to be just such a coyote. Nice work.
