The only thing I would suggest is that you tape the clasp or buckle or whatever GG calls it at the top of the shoulder straps where it connects to the pack frame. It's almost like a quick release of sorts but I found it popping off at inconvenient times so once I got the strap where I wanted it I taped it up with 100 mph tape. That's one thing I wish civilian packs had was a quick release feature like we used to have on military rucks |

| That’s good to know, it’s not something you have to mess with so making sure it won’t come undone while hiking seems like a good idea. I’m looking forward to taking it or the 50 out on some test hikes once mud season is past and the logging roads leading to the mountains are open again. |

I’ve been taking the Perimeter 35 out on shortish hikes for a couple months now and like it a lot. It carries better than my Crown2 38 and the adjustable torso length & width are nice. One thing about GG packs is when they give a capacity they mean just the main compartment, not the total of the main compartment and exterior pockets. So they have more volume than many other brands with the same listed capacity. I can’t come close to fitting the contents of my GG Nimbus Trace Access 70 in my Osprey Aether 70. So that one will be going down the road sometime soon as well! 3 things I’d change about the Perimeters: 1) make the bottom pouch removable, 2) put straps on both sides of the bottom pouch, and 3) attach the lid back straps to the lid rather than the pack itself. Other than those I have no complaints. And “complaints” is too strong a word for them, really. From a hike on old overgrown logging roads Sunday evening. It was probably the closest I’ve come to losing my life since 1991. Her calf stepped out on the trail just after I took the pic.
