Took our TT out last weekend. Saturday and Sunday night, the temps got down into the high 20’s, and had some snow, and we left the state park Monday morning. I got the ladder out and went to clean off the slide-out roofs like normal, but found that the snow had melted and turned to ice, trapping a bunch of leaves in it. So instead of trying to scrape off the ice, and risk damaging the roofs, I finally decided to just bring them in, and I packed towels and blankets on top of them once inside to absorb the water as the ice melted on the way home. Figured I’d just wash them at home. Hadn’t run into that before, and didn’t think about it with the minimal insulation in the roof letting the heat go out. So just something to think about if you go on a trip around this time of year! |
