What is your go to gun for the trap line? I am new to trapping and have been using my PSA rock 5.7….. while it is extremely effective it’s super loud and will be hard on any fur that I want to have tanned. I have a .22 can and no host. What are y’all using? |

Racoons got a .22 from a little revolver. Been 40 years since I ran a line and now we have yotes, beaver, and bobcats around here but you have to release the bobcats.

Short barreled Heritage Rough Rider and .22 shorts . . . Yeah, I've never trapped in my life. Just seems like you don't need a powerful round and a gun so cheap that it could be considered disposable makes sense given constant exposure to wet and nasty environmental conditions. |

I was shooting colibri's through a 6" rough rider at one of those self healing spinners. One of them bounced. I'd just use standard velocity 22lr. |
