Hey guys, I’m looking for some help on an odd situation I’ve found myself in.

My in laws (live in Indiana) have asked me (in Virginia) if I can help them sell a shoulder mount elk that his dad killed. It apparently is a Boone and Crockett (I think that’s the classification). They’re selling and downsizing and this thing just doesn’t have a place in their new digs. What’s my best way to help them? I see some listed that look similar for 4-4,500, but I think they know they won’t be netting that much

If it is a B&C it should be 3k+. Shipping would also be murder.
Best list it locally and take what you can get.

I’d like to sell locally, but I’m 700 miles away and not sure how to even start. I’ll do anything I can to help him out. If I knew someone to call to consign I’d go that route.

Have them take good photos and some rough measurements to know the size, and post it on offer up or fb marketplace.

If they were local that’s exactly what I’d do. The logistics of all this are what make it a pain.
